Quotes of the week

Exploring pinterest and tumblr i stumbled upon a bunch of cute and funny little quotes, I dont really know if you would call them quotes but I'm going with it. And so I thought to share them. Some of them are motivational and inspirational and some I just really liked. I will try to make this a weekly thing or at least a monthly thing.

My tv show addiction

I have a very unhealthy addiction to tv shows. I Watch a ridiculous amount of tv shows. Over the years it has gotten worse. I can literally sit in the same place for hours and hours watching tv shows. Even if im busy i make time. So I thought I should share with you all my favourites and recommendations for any of you who are looking for a new show to start.

Pretty little liars
This is probably the first tv show i started watching and is still one of my favourites. Its got a very interesting back story and once you start you won't be able to stop. A death of a close friend Alison Dilaurentis leaves four girls, Spencer, Aria, Emily and Hannah curious and worried as they start to receive strange texts from a person 'A'. And everything continues from there, there are deaths, secrets, lies, mystery, its just amazing. And they have some gorgeous outfits to take some inspiration from.

The Vampire Diaries
Definitely one of my favourites. Im not usually into supernatural kind of tv shows but this is an exception. And trust me its nothing like Twilight. What I love the most is that there is always something happening it never gets boring. And obviously the best part are the characters Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. And i can't wait for the new season.

American Horror Story
I only recently started watching ahs but i love it. Every season has a different story and different characters. The first season was horror house, second season was asylum, third season coven and the new season coming out soon is freak show. It can get a little gruesome and scary but its still amazing. A little messed up here and there and slightly inappropriate. And my favourite character is obviously Evan Peters.

Made in Chelsea
This isn't popular everywhere as it is a british reality tv show about London's young socially elite. Its full of drama, parties, champagne, gorgeous outfits and 'randomly bumping into people on the street'. It can be a little ridiculous and very scripted but is very entertaining.

Those are just a few if I were to talk to about them all this would probably be the longest blog post ever. Let me know in the comments below what your favourites are or if you watch any of the shows i mentioned we can discuss.

My skincare regime

I wanted to share with you all my skincare regime, so what i do in the morning when i wake up and at night before i go to bed and then just some things i may do during the day.
I use the same products at night and in the morning. First up is my facial wash and occasionally my face mask which is the Clearasil ultra all in one wash and mask. Its a daily facial wash which is said to fight 100% of spots and imperfections and also a one minute mask which i use three times a week. I really like the scent of this which is a little strange it reminds me of men's shaving cream.
Next is the Simple skincare pore minimizing toning cleanser which is a new addition to my regime. I have only been using this product for about three days so i cant give you a useful review but so far so good. I just like to put a little on a cotton pad at rub it all over my face.
At night only I use the Wilkinson Tea tree soothing blemish serum. It being Wilkinson's own brand i was surprised that it was actually really good. When you first apply it, it does create a lot of redness so that's why you should only use it at night but when i wake up a lot of the redness is gone. I highly recommend this product. They also have a tea tree scrub and moisturiser which i havent tried but should also be good.
And lastly i use the boots witch hazel gel. And it says to use this three to four times a day. I use it once in the morning and once at night and if i remember also during the day. It says that it helps prevent spots and pimples and keep skin clear. And it also says that it gets rid of grease and oil and mattifies your face. So its great to use before applying makeup if you prefer matte finish.

And some home remedies that i also like to do during the day is lemon juice on the face. Its pretty simple i just squeeze some fresh lemon juice on to a cotton pad and rub it all over my face and it does sting at first so if you have sensitive skin i would suggest diluting it with some water.

That is my whole skincare routine. Just a quick disclaimer this regime works for me but may not work for all skin types and it is also based for my acne prone skin.
If you have any suggestions for acne prone skin let me know in the comment section below.

Study motivation

The school year has just begun not for me technically as i have not been placed in a school yet well, that's a long story and not relevant at the moment. I have to start studying mostly because its my last year (year 11/gcse's) and i have to do well obviously. I'm not one to study at all i literally will not touch a book to study until the day of the test which is a horrible habit and i need to change it and fast. And constantly being on tumblr i had stumbled upon a study inspiration/motivation blog and found so many and it was very motivating and i actually felt like studying which is very strange. I picked out some of my favourite posts and blogs to share with all of you and even if you're not in school you will find this motivating in so many other ways.

How to Study for Exams From the First Day of School- Short ways to Ace your Exams

Recently, I’ve been trying to pick up differences in the ways I study and the way some of my friends study and I feel like almost every single one of them get stressed during exam time. The main reason? They wait too long to start studying and then freak out when they realise how much they have to do. And then there’s me, completely chill, got all ten hours of sleep and feel ready to set the exam. That’s not because I’m some kind of genius, it’s all because I start studying for exams the very minute school opens. Sounds weird, (and slightly nerdy) but  by consistently studying a bit everyday, it’s so much easier to do well in exams. Before I give you my tips, there’s one thing you should know….
DON’T leave studying till a week before an exam— I feel like a lot of people say that you should start studying early, but their definition of “early” is a week. How are you supposed to go over a whole year or half years worth of work, do practice questions, figure out what you need to work on, get help and clear your doubts and make sure you have everything you need to know in a WEEK? It might work for some of you, but for most, that’s the worst thing you could ever do.
So onto my ways to study for exams the minute school opens!
1. In each class, write down a couple of dot points about what you covered that lesson. For example, I’ll use Biology. If your teacher covered osmosis, diffusion and active transport in a lesson, write those topics down. Don’t be lazy about this, because if you do it consistently, at the end of the year, you’ll have a rough revision sheet of all the topics you need to cover in the exam before the teacher even hands them out.
2. Everyday, or even every two days, go back over everything you’ve learned so far. The method I like the best to do this is to read through the notes once and write up questions, so I can make sure I know the concepts. My textbooks also have questions at the end of each chapter and after a few concepts, so i look for those and do them as well.
3. Pinpoint what you don’t know straight away. If you’re going through your algebra work and can’t do certain questions, find out how to do them as soon as possible. That way, towards exam time, you won’t have a whole bunch of stuff you don’t know how to do.
4. Try to get work done everyday. Everyone’s busy and everyone deserves some downtime away from school, but try to at least study 45 mins to an hour everyday. It’ll get you in the habit of working and you’ll get stuff done without even realising it.
5. Get ahead! Ask your teacher what the next topics he/she is going through will be and find out if there are any exercises or questions they want you to focus on. Finish up the chapter your class is working on and keep moving forward if you’re done before everyone else. Not only do you get more time to learn all your information and don’t have to deal with the stress of having exams around the corner and your teacher still has completed the syllabus.
7. Remember that you can always learn more. If you’ve written all your notes for the next five chapters, done all the questions, got any questions answered by the teachers and are sitting back thinking, what now? DON’T forget about your work. That’s just as bad as studying a few days before the exam. Find practice tests or worksheets that deal with your topic online, watch revision videos on youtube, use different methods of studying like flashcards, try studying with other people, or even become a tutor if you think you’re good enough at the subject. All these will help your mind to not forget about what you’ve learned and help reinforce it.

So those are my tips for studying for exams from day 1. I’ve done all of this and continue to do so, and can’t remember the last time I actually worried about an exam. I hope I helped!

Those are just some of the pictures that i find motivating i just love how organised and pretty everything is.
Here are some of my favourite study inspiration blogs:

I personally adore these types of blogs, they are so motivational and if you every feel unmotivated and depressed about studies check them out and they have so many tips on studying.

UD Naked basics 2- Want!

Urban Decay have just recently come out with their Naked basics 2 palette and its beautiful. It is currently number one on my wishlist. I'm not the biggest eye shadow fan as i barely ever wear any. But this pallet is so pretty i love the shades as they are brown, natural shades. I definitely prefer the colours in this pallet than the naked basics. All the shades in the Naked basics 2 pallet are taupe hued matte neutrals as the Urban Decay website described it. It is priced at £22.00 which for me being a cheap student is quiet expensive for eye shadow that I'm not super into but hopefully i will be able to get my hands on this product.
