Makeup organisation

Before I start the actual post I wanted to apologies for not posting again. In my last post I said I would post more regularly and I haven't done so. I just haven't been in the mood and haven't had any motivation. However, I am going to try to ease into it but school is starting soon and I'm doing my GCSE this year and let's just say I can't promise to post a lot but I am definitely going to try.

Now on to the post, I have drawer filled with makeup and it is so messy and unorganised, which is why I will not show a picture because it is actually disgusting.  So I went to ikea because they have anything and everything. I picked up a new much of things but I picked up a utensil tray and I thought it would be great to put in my drawer and fill with makeup so that everything is more organised. It fits perfectly into my drawer and is just the right size for all my makeup to fit into. And the best part was that it was not only £2. Ridiculously cheap.
This was a failed attempt at taking an artsy shot, but I tried.

If you are looking for a cheap and easy way to organise your makeup this tray is great, especially if you don't have too much makeup like me. I used each compartment for different products. The big square compartment is great for pallets and things like eyelash boxes. And in the other compartments I put brushes, foundations, powders and mascara, lip products and concealers ( I combined them together cause there wasn't enough to space and I don't have a lot of products).

I hope this post was useful and if you have any other ways you organise your makeup let me know in the comments.

Pinspiration: July 2015

Before I begin with the actual post I wanted to do a little update because I haven't posted in about three months which is a very long time, at least to me. Anyway, at first I was busy with school and exams and then I had work experience which was very tiring and now that its summer I was just relaxing and taking a break but now I want to get back to blogging and I thought I should start out with something a little easier and fun to do and I love Pinterest so much.

Not much has changed since my last pinspiration because I am still into the minimalist look, clearly. I am just obsessed with simple, clean, crisp interior. This is basically what I want my dream house to look like. I love the large windows in the pictures to the left, they are just so pretty and open up the space. And I love brick tiles in the upper right picture, I just really like the look it gives.

Fashion
1/2/3
I have been loving distressed boyfriend and mum jeans even though its not a new trend I have been loving it a lot more recently and I need to pick myself a new pair. Another denim trend I have been loving is overalls, I think they are so cute and summery. I think they look so cute with a crop top or lace bralette. And lastly I just thought this skirt was really cute and the style was different, I don't wear skirts but I really love this.

Beauty

I have been loving highlighting, I think it just looks so pretty especially in the summer when the light hits it. I still have to invest in a good highlighter. Another thing I have been loving is coloured eyeliner and this dark green winged eyeliner looks so pretty and because its not too bright it just gives another edge. I have also been loving a simple eye and it looks so lovely and simple. And the bold eyebrow adds something extra.

I will be trying to post more frequently and try to make better content. I really hope you liked this post and be sure to follow my Pinterest.

Exam preparation

Its that time of the year where everyone is stressing out and preparing for their exams, including me luckily I am only preparing for two exams but that will change next year. Anyway, its a stressful time and even though I am not the best person to take studying advice from, I have realised some things when it comes to studying and thought to share.

1. Do not leave everything to the last minute
We are all guilty of leaving homework and assignments to the very last minute but don't leave exam studying to the last minute because it will stress you out and you probably will not remember anything.

2. Find what works for you
There are many ways to revise for exams you could take notes and colour code, use flashcards, power points, textbooks, etc. There is not right or wrong. Personally I love using flashcards and colour doing my notes,

3. Stay organised
Keep all your notes and papers neatly on your desk or use folders or binders so that all your work is in one place and you are not left stressing out about where a page is.

4. Reward yourself
You should reward yourself after 45 minutes- 1 hour of studying, you could take a 5-10 minute YouTube break, catch up on some videos or go for a walk. And after a days worth of studying watch a movie or go out for dinner.

I hope these tips helped you, exam season is a stressful time and I hope you all so well in your exams!! xx

Pinspiration: April 2015

I was never a huge fan of Pinterest until a couple months ago when I decided to give it another go and its now become an unhealthy obsession. So I thought I'd share what pins I have been inspired by recently.

Hair/Beauty
1/2/3/4
I really love how winged eyeliner looks, I don;t ever wear winged eyeliner and I don't know if its just cause I cant do it or it just doesn't suit me but I am willing to give it another go. I have also been loving statement eyelashes, they just look so gorgeous and fluttery. Another makeup look I have been obsessed with is the no make up, make up, it just looks so beautiful and effortless. Unfortunately for me its not something I can accomplish because I have terrible skin that requires a lot of coverage. And lastly for hair I have been pinning a lot of lobs and balayage, my two favourite trends at the moment and its something I am working on getting done.

Style
1/2/3/4
I have been loving round sunglasses, I'm not sure if I could pull of the look as I don't really wear sunglasses as I have small face but I'm gonna try to make it work. I have seen a lot of the Adidas Stan Smith trainers on Pinterest and they look so cute, I have seen them paired with very formal outfits and they look great, may be my next pair of shoes. I love carrying backpacks, they are just so easy to carry around as your hands are free and it's out of the way, I have been loving the leather look and this one is what I have been looking for. As for clothing I have been loving the layered look with lace bralettes, where you can just see the lace trim, I think it adds a little something to a simple t shirt or jumper.

And the lastly home inspiration, I love the whole minimalist and white look when it comes to home decor. I love the light shown in the first picture, its so unusual and I love the idea. As you can tell I have been into little succulents, I'm not really a plant person but they are just so adorable and I have to go out and get me some. And lastly I love kitchens mostly cause that's where the food is but I love kitchen designs its weird but I do. I love the brick walls and white chairs, it just looks clean and fresh.

I hoped you guys liked this post and if you would like me to do this more frequently, and I enjoyed putting this together, And leave your Pinterest links below and follow my boards here.

e.l.f Smudge brush review

I was kindly sent this e.l.f Smudge brush by product testing uk. I was so excited to try this product because I have never tried any e.l.f products before and I had been looking for a brush like this. I have been using the brush for some time now and I really love it and I definitely need to try more e.l.f brushes.

The brush came in a transparent pouch sort of thing. It has a simple design noting fancy but it does the job. The brush itself is dense and soft. I like to use this on my lower lash line and occasionally on my upper lash line and it give a really nice smokey yet subtle look and its not as harsh as using just an eyeliner pencil.

Overall its a really great brush and is reasonably priced, if you're not looking to spend to much. I am not sure where e.l.f products are available in the uk, I have seen a few items in tk max. If you are interested in beauty product testing click the link and sign up.

Hair Inspiration

I have been exploring Pinterest for some hair inspiration. And don't even get me started on how much I have been loving Pinterest, I was never a huge fan but I have recently started using it a ton and it's amazing, a great place to find inspiration for anything. Anyway, I am thinking of changing up my hair and I have managed to convince my mum to let me dye or do something to my hair which is exciting. I'm not quiet sure what to do yet. My hair at the moment is about boob length and has a bit of brown dye at the tips from my previously long ombre hair. I cut my hair short in July/August and I wasn't a fan of it but all these pictures of short hair is really making me consider doing it again and I am also considering doing some balayage highlights. I wanted to share with you some of the pictures I am using as inspiration and let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions?
